It has been a while since there has been a release from Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. Of course there has been Grinderman and some movie soundtracks but they are different kinds of beasts.
It has been met with a lot of anticipation as the long standing Bad Seeds, Blixa Bargeld and more recently have moved out of the band leaving only Thomas Wydler remaining as a long time member.
Push The Sky Away is a real return to form for Nick cave and sounds like the kind of album many fans have been wanting for a while.
As always it is melodically dark and haunting and exploring the themes that make the human condition so interesting and one Cave is adept at seeking out and portraying.
It is such a shame that with his upcoming tour that the regions of Australia outside of the major cities are just ignored. I am sure if Cave visited us up here in the north the show would sell out in under ten minutes. When will promoters and others in the music industry get clued into this.
Anyway excuse the rant and enjoy these two tracks off the New Album. Push The Sky Away Out Now.
